Old News...

 

2007 has been a great year musically. I have played in three festivals, made it to the CT Blues Challenge Finals, had two more songs licensed to PBS and played over 120 gigs! Next year I hope to reach my goal of 200 gigs and finish two new CDs...

I've been invited to play at the Tropea Blues Festival in Sept. 06. That should be pretty incredible....

The 2006 Memphis Blues Challenge was awesome. I'll have photos up soon..

November 2003

Robin's new CD,The Road Home is done!!!! The CD Release Party was Saturday, November 22 at 3:00 pm at the Berkshire Blues Cafe on Rt. 102 in So. Lee, MA and was a great success. Robin and guest musicians Terry Hall, Richard Downs, Vikki True, Peter Schneider, Lisa Kantor, LuAnn Herring, Mary Landers and Devin Dascher rocked the house. It was awesome.

Here is what one fan said about the CD Release party:

The Boston Blues Challenge was a lot of fun and you can view pictures of that night here.

Robin has made it to the semifinalists in The Boston Blues Society Blues Challenge! She will be performing on July 3 at Harper's Ferry in Allston, MA. The winner of the finals gets to compete in the 2004 International Blues Challenge in Memphis!

It's been a busy month! On March 1, I will be playing at the Railway Cafe in N. Adams, opening for Louise Taylor. If you can make it you will be in for a real treat!

December 2002

There is a new Photos link on the menu bar. See still shots from the cd release party and the PCTV session. Later this spring I will get some video clips up.

Christmas is over and New Year is on the way. It has been a busy Christmas Season. The Christmas special for PCTV was a big success. Keep your eyes open for the You Play like a girl special coming sometime in February.

January and February are going to be busy months. Check out the gigs page to see what is going on.

Don't miss Robin as she opens for Julee Glaub at the Common Grounds Coffee House on Dec. 7. It is held in the Methodist Church on Fenn St. in Pittsfield. The doors open at 7:00. Admission is $9.00 at the door. For families: first child is 1/2 price, more than one child? Family price is $22.00

The 2nd Annual Christmas Sing will be on Friday, Dec. 20 at the Dreamaway Lodge in Becket. Come welcome in the Holidays with Robin O'Herin and friends LuAnn Herring, Melinda Georgeson and Terry Hall. Be ready to sing!

God Bless AmericaRobin's first cd, Red, White and Blues is Done! The CD Release Party is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 13, from 3 to 5 pm at the Berkshire Blues Cafe on Rt. 102 in So. Lee, MA. Call 243-0062 for directions. There is no cover charge. Food will be available off the menu. This event is smoke-free. Come hear songs from the cd and enjoy guest musicians Terry Hall, Kathy Jo Barrett, Vikki True, Peter Schneider, Lisa Kantor, LuAnn Herring and Charlie Mead.

Recorded and engineered with the help of Robby Baier in his Soultube Substation Studio in Housatonic, MA, it contains a mixture of ballads, blues and gospel, as well as original pieces. Featuring other local musicians such as Charlie Mead on harmonica, Terry Hall on drums and Darren Todd on bass, the cd has a nice live feel.

Summer 2002

Response has been very positive in various venues this summer. Here is a picture taken at a Christian Music Festival at the Second Baptist Church, South Hadley MA where I played for an audience of about 250 people in July. Said one fan, "That last song was so good I didn't want it to end".
